Communications

We are passionate about celebrating our scientific breakthroughs in plant-microbe interactions with our diverse audience.

TSL Communications manages content for all our digital platforms and press releases. This covers engagement with our stakeholders to promote our science: from our funders through to the public.

We are a member of the Norwich Research Park Public Affairs Group where we help to determine the Park's collective policy, raise awareness and promote the science, the organisations and the businesses being carried out here.

We believe in educating the public about the wonders of plant science and the crucial role this knowledge will play in our futures.

TSL Communications is proud to participate in outreach events and promote STEMM at schools.

Bio

I love the creativity, curiosity and connection that comes with science communication and am always trying to expand my communications toolbox.

With a background in molecular ecology, I was drawn to The Sainsbury Laboratory's ground-breaking discoveries in plant-microbe interactions. The plant immune system and how plant pathogens evolve to avoid detection is a fascinating story that we’re still only scratching the surface of.

That awe and excitement of learning something new is what drives me to share our pioneering research with others. I believe we have to inform the public how crucial our understanding of the plant immune system and plant pathogens is in mitigating current and future global challenges.

As part of my role, I oversee our digital and social media content and coordinate engagement with various stakeholders. I also support the communications activities and training of our staff and students.

At the Norwich Research Park, I collaborate with the other institutes on site for public engagement activities and help to inform key decision makers as part of the Park's Public Affairs Group.
