Student social life

Student social life @ TSL

Allocating time for fun and friendship is as important as dedicating time for research! That’s why we are constantly organising social activities for recreation and bonding.

We usually hold events to welcome new starters in October with a fun pumpkin carving contest, we celebrate Christmas with a tasty dinner and a fun Secret Santa game, and enjoy the lovely summer weather with an outdoor activity and a nice BBQ at the recreation centre centre on site. Other activities in the past have also included making our own tie-dye T-shirts, baking pizza, house parties and farewell parties to say good-bye to our senior 4th year students.

Social life in Norwich and at the University of East Anglia

Norwich, as small as it may seem, has a vibrant nightlife! Whether you’re after a quirky café, some top-notch dining, a pint at a local pub, a late night out at a club, or some live music, we’ve got you covered.

We have access to the recreation centre on Norwich Research Park which has a bar that opens on Friday evenings. The centre is also open during the day for recreation (badminton, squash, table football and basketball), and we have access to the heated pool during late-spring and summer.

If you’re into hobbies or enjoy activities, the UEA student union has many clubs and societies you can join! Have a look at https://www.uea.su/opportunities/
